Once is Not Enough for Naturally Nepal
Chitwan National Park is the most popular destination for tourists in the southern part of Nepal with an area of 932 square kilometers. This is the first famous national park of Nepal in the field of wildlife safaris. In 1973, it was declared a national park and identified by UNESCO as a Natural World Heritage Site in 1984. This park is home to 56 species of mammals such as the one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tiger, sloth bear, leopard, wild-elephant, Gangetic dolphin, wild bison, striped hyena and more. We can also find 450 species of birds, 126 species of fish, 590 species of butterflies and 47 species of reptiles as a verified estimate. A recent study has also shown that one third of Nepal's total population of wildlife creatures are found here.
Currently, two jungle safari packages are available, one is outside the park and the other is inside the park. Although it is possible to stay as long as the tourists wish, usually 3 days and 2 nights are spent here. We can enjoy unique cultural traditions staying in hotels either in inside or outside of the Park.
